MAGNA Theme: “Quit Today for a Better Tomorrow”
Introduction
In observance of World Tobacco Day 2026, Malayalee Association Greater Noida (MAGNA) is organizing an online Poster Making Competition to create awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and nicotine addiction. The competition aims to encourage creativity, social responsibility, and public awareness among members through meaningful artistic expression.
Participants are invited to prepare posters based on the official themes and submit both a short video of the poster-making process and the final poster.
Competition Rules and Regulations
1. Eligibility
- The competition is open exclusively to all MAGNA members.
- Participants from all age groups are welcome.
- Individual participation only is permitted.
- Each participant can submit only one entry.
2. Competition Theme
Participants should prepare posters based on either or both of the following themes:
Global Theme
“Unmasking the Appeal – Countering Nicotine and Tobacco Addiction”
MAGNA Theme
“Quit Today for a Better Tomorrow”
The poster should creatively convey awareness about:
- Harmful effects of tobacco and nicotine products
- Health and social consequences of addiction
- Benefits of quitting tobacco
- Protecting youth from tobacco influence
- Promoting a healthy and addiction-free lifestyle
3. Submission Requirements
Participants must submit the following:
A. Poster Making Video
- A 15-second video showing the participant creating or drawing the poster.
- The video should clearly show the participant and the artwork process.
- Video can be recorded using a mobile phone.
- Landscape or portrait mode is acceptable.
B. Final Poster
- Clear image/photo or scanned copy of the completed poster.
- Posters may be hand-drawn or digitally designed but not with AI.
- Participants may use crayons, watercolors, sketch pens, pencils, paints, or digital tools.
4. Submission Procedure
- Participants must upload:
- The 15-second video
- Final poster image
- Entries should be uploaded only through the official link provided by MAGNA.
- Participants must ensure that:
- Files are clear and properly visible
- Correct participant details are entered
- Upload is completed before the deadline
5. Last Date for Submission
Last Date and Time:
31st May 2026 – 4:00 PM
Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances.
6. Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated based on:
- Creativity and originality
- Relevance to the theme
- Message clarity
- Artistic presentation
- Overall impact and awareness value
The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.
7. Prizes and Recognition
First Prize
🏆 Rs. 1000/-
Participation Certificate
📜 Digital certificates will be provided to all participants.
8. General Instructions
- Posters must be original creations of the participant.
- Any copied or plagiarized content will lead to disqualification.
- Offensive, inappropriate, or unrelated content will not be accepted.
- MAGNA reserves the right to use submitted posters/videos for awareness campaigns, publications, social media, and promotional activities.
- By participating, contestants agree to the competition rules and regulations.
- Participants are advised to keep backup copies of their submissions.
9. Objective of the Program
This initiative is aimed at spreading awareness about the dangers of tobacco use and encouraging society, especially youth, to adopt healthier lifestyles. Through art and creativity, MAGNA hopes to inspire individuals to make positive choices and contribute towards a tobacco-free future.
