
Membership Application Guidelines
Malayalee Association Greater Noida (MAGNa)
The Malayalee Association Greater Noida (MAGNa) warmly welcomes individuals and families who share the cultural heritage and values of Kerala, while residing in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Membership ensures active participation in community activities, cultural programs, social initiatives, and networking opportunities.
1. Eligibility Criteria
1.1. Any Malayalee residing in Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh State is eligible to apply for membership.
1.2. Either the husband or wife in the family should be of Malayalee origin (born in Kerala or having parents of Kerala origin).
1.3. Individuals and families who respect the objectives, values, and constitution of the Association are eligible to be considered.
2. Categories of Membership
2.1. Family Membership – Open to Malayalee families residing in the district (husband, wife, and children below 21 years).
2.2. Individual Membership – Open to unmarried adults (18 years and above) or single individuals of Malayalee origin residing in the district.
2.3. Associate Membership – Open to non-Malayalee spouses of Malayalees, or individuals with strong ties to the Malayalee community, subject to approval by the Executive Committee.
3. Application Procedure
3.1. Applicants must submit the Membership Application Form (available online or from the office-bearers of MAGNa).
3.2. The application should include the following details:
- Full name(s) of applicant(s)
- Residential address in Gautam Buddh Nagar
- Contact details (phone number, email)
- Details of Malayalee origin (native place in Kerala, family details, etc.)
- Category of membership applied for
3.3. A copy of identity proof and address proof must be attached along with the application.
3.4. The completed application must be submitted to the Secretary/authorized officer of MAGNa, along with the applicable membership fee.
4. Approval of Membership
4.1. All membership applications will be reviewed by the Executive Committee of MAGNa.
4.2. The Executive Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any application, with reasons recorded in the meeting minutes.
4.3. Membership will be deemed active only after approval and confirmation of fee payment.
5. Membership Fee
5.1. The membership fee and annual subscription shall be decided by the General Body/Executive Committee from time to time.
5.2. The prescribed fee must be paid at the time of submitting the application.
5.3. Membership will lapse automatically if the subscription is not renewed within the due period.
6. Rights and Privileges of Members
6.1. Members have the right to participate in all activities, events, and programs organized by MAGNa.
6.2. Members have voting rights in the General Body meetings (except Associate Members).
6.3. Members are eligible to contest for posts in the Executive Committee, subject to fulfilling the constitutional requirements.
7. Responsibilities of Members
7.1. Members shall uphold the values, objectives, and reputation of MAGNa at all times.
7.2. Members must follow the rules and regulations laid down in the constitution and by-laws.
7.3. Members are expected to participate actively in community and cultural programs.
8. Termination of Membership
8.1. Membership may be terminated if a member:
- Provides false information during application
- Acts against the interests, values, or constitution of MAGNa
- Fails to renew membership within the prescribed time
8.2. The decision of termination will be made by the Executive Committee and communicated in writing.
